its rich history and its Railway

May 2014 update

Saturday morning and the solitary volunteer on the platform site is Dave Hill - busy applying weed killer, prior to the contractors arriving on site later in May to install the temporary platform.

The area between the car park and the station site has been restored and the overspill car park tarmaced as the flood relief scheme comes to a close after 8 months.

At the phase 2 site can be seen a small delivery of platform slabs.

Plans for the station are still in the design stage at this moment.

New fencing and gates has been erected at the path from the car park.

While awaiting the contractors (Davies Brothers from Llangollen) to start installing the platform which is expected to take a minimum of six weeks, the Project Group have been busy snagging the line.
