Corwen Pavilion -The final days
The 100 year old pavilion is in the midst of being demolished after a long battle between locals who campaigned to keep it and the local council who claimed it had deteriorated beyond economic repair. The building which at one time hosted many cultural and sporting events closed its doors in 2010.
The framework came from an earlier building thought to be a tram shed in Birkenhead.
The initial stripping of the interior took place earlier this month (January) and the exterior is expected to take a further three weeks to complete.
By Thursday 5th Feb only the outer walls were still standing.
April 2015 and only a few mounds of soil to see.
June 2015 and the area has now been landscaped.
The autotrain sitting in the platform can be seen in the background.
